She was 86 years old at the time of her death. She was survived by children Andrew Whisenant, Mrs. R.J. Fox, Charlie Saulmon, Mrs. W.J. Fox, and Lewis Saulmon. A number of grandchildren and great granchildren also survived. In addition, a sister, Alvie Lafevers, and four brothers Monroe, Nelson, Jason, and Thomas Powell survived.
