George Michael Whisenhunt / Whisenant was Farmer.
He moved from Lancaster County, PA, with his father John Adam Whisenhunt to Lincoln County, NC, between 1749 and 1759. He has land grants entered or issued in Mecklenburg County, NC. in 1765. Land grants were entered or issued to him in Randolph County, NC, in 1788, 1789, 1794, and 1799. He does not appear in the Randolph County census after 1800. It appears that he had sold most of his land in Randolph County, NC, by 1802. He moved into Burke County, NC, between 1800 and 1810, leaving three or more of his sons in Randolph County, NC.
The land for the cemetery Quaker Meadows was given to the church by his grandson, Harvey Whisenhunt. The inscription on George Michael's marker says he died in his 82nd year. His will, filed in Burke County, NC, was destroyed by fire in 1865.
