Suggested edit: Mrs. Vera D. Hawkins, 53, wife of Earl H. Hawkins, died at 2:40 a.m. Sunday at the home, Minerva R. D. 3 after an illness of six months.

Mrs. Hawkins had resided in the vicinity of Minerva R. D. 3 20 years going there from Canton where she was born. She was a member of Trinity Reformed and Evangelical Church in Canton.

Her mother, Mary Catherine Stump preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Charles J. of Canton and Robert E. of Buffalo N. Y., her father, Charles W. Stump of Canton; a sister, Mrs. Ross E. Hursh of Canton and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cassaday and Turkle Funeral Home in charge of Rev. H. N. Kerst of Canton. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be made in the Hawkins Family Cemetery near New Franklin.
