Mrs. Mary Ayers Day Scribner, 87 years old, widow of Harvey A. Scribner, died at 11:50 o'clock Wednesday morning at her home, 1621 Ekin Avenue, following a lingering illness. She is survived by [a son, Addison A. Scribner, of Louisville;] one daughter, Miss Mary Helen Scribner, [New Albany]; a sister, Mrs. D. F. Bowman; a brother, S. A. Day, Lafayette, Ind.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Scribner was a member of the First Presbyterian Church since childhood. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
