Joseph Reynolds married Theresa M. Batzka on September 15, 1899 in St. Joseph, Berrien County, Michigan. They had three daughters: Baby Frances, who died in infancy; Helen M., born in 1903, and Florence H., born in 1909. All three girls were born in California.

Funeral Tomorrow for J. S. Reynolds
Final rites for J. S. Reynolds, former Santa Barbara resident, will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the Holland Chapel under the auspices of the Elks Lodge. Mr. Reynolds died Friday night in his mountain lodge near Banning. While in Santa Barbara, he was proprietor of the Reynolds Electric Company, which later became the Mission Electric Company. Mr. Reynolds went to the Ojai and later to the desert for his health.
