"The Sabbath Recorder", Vol 20, No 16, p 63, Apr. 21, 1864.

In Albion, Wis., April 10th, 1864, of consumption, Mrs. Katie Wells, wife of Deacon David Wells, aged 65 years and 10 months. Sister Wells made a profession of religion about 50 years ago, and united with the Seventh-day Baptist Church in Lincklaen, N. Y. At the time of her disease, she was a member of the Seventh-day Baptist Church in Albion. She had been confined by disease for about six years; yet a patient sufferer under all her afflictions. Her religion was a practical reality, exercising its influence over all her life, making her watchful, prayerful, and obedient in prosperity, and cheerful and hopeful in adversity. She died as she lived, in hope of a glorious immortality and eternal life. By this providence, her aged husband, and only surviving child, the wife of Eld. H. W. Babcock, have been bereft of a good wife and mother, and a large circle of relatives and friends of one they had known to love. But are comforted with the assurance that the departed has reached the clime where weary, suffering pilgrims find sweet, eternal rest.
