ELKHART -- Bernice E. "Bee" (Davy) Krazit, 87, of Elkhart, passed away Aug. 29, 2011, at Miller's Merry Manor in Wakarusa.
She was born March 20, 1924, to the late Virgil Ray and Nina (Reynolds) Davy.
On Oct. 12, 1946, she married Stephen E. Krazit at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. Stephen passed away on Feb. 2, 2001, in Elkhart.
Surviving are six children, Pam Smith of Elkhart, Steve (Celia) of Irving, Texas, Fran (Jerry) Heeter of Elkhart, Larry (Kathy) of Elkhart, Mary (Jack) Brown of Euless, Texas, and Doug (Rhonda) of Elkhart; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Whalen of Bristol and Roberta (Ron) Breniser of Elkhart.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Laura Billey.
Mrs. Krazit retired from Mansfield Chemical. Her hobbies included bowling with the CC Serenaders, knitting, playing Scrabble, making the best cheesecake and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a 1942 graduate of Elkhart High School and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be at noon Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, where friends may visit with the family beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Don Billey, her nephew, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be given to Council on Aging, The Center for Hospice Care or Riverview Adult Day Care
