Dorothy Olson, 89, of 201 Blake Rd. Blossburg, died Thursday Aug. 25, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Aug. 2, 1922, one of twelve children of the late Fred and Flossie Repard Kreger.

Dorothy married Carl "Duke" Olson Sept. 24, 1948; he preceded her in death March 9, 2002.

Mrs. Olson helped her husband "Duke" on the farm they owned, known as Olson Egg Farm.

She was a lifelong member of Siloa Lutheran Church, Morris Run.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Surviving is a son Carl Olson Jr., Blossburg; daughters; Sandra Olson, Blossburg, Betty Mahosky and son-in-law Guy, Mansfield, Karen Rainey and son-in-law James, Linden, Lisa Miller and son-in-law Robert, Roseville, eight grandchildren; Carl (Lynette) Olson lll,

Christopher Olson, Heather Mahosky, Carissa Mahosky, Nathaniel (Ashlee) Miller, Brock (Nicole) Miller, Blake Miller, and Michael Olson, a great- grandson Bentley James Miller; a sister Mary Isaacson, Blossburg, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg, Sunday, Aug. 28 from 6 until 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Monday Aug. 29 from the Siloa Lutheran Church, Morris Run at 2 p.m. with Rev. Detlef Huckfeldt officiating.

Burial will follow at Arbon Cemetery, Blossburg.
