Otis U. Wilson, 87, of Eagles Mere, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.

Born Feb. 29, 1924, in Eagles Mere, he was a son of the late John and Frederica Little Wilson.

Otis was a WW II veteran who served honorably in the U.S. Air Force and a former member of the American Legion Post 601, Sonestown. He retired in 1981 from Penn DOT, after having worked there for 33 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Wilson of Forksville and Lynette (David) King of Georgia; two sons, Richard Wilson of Forksville and Randy Wilson of Eagles Mere; and three grandchildren, Sarah King, Matthew King and Thomas King.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Robert Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Eagles Mere Cemetery, with graveside military honors accorded by combined veterans organizations. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
