Audrey E. Otey, 92, of Martinsville passed away at her residence on May 30, 2007.
The daughter of the late Lawrence and Florence (Haase) Hodges, she was born June 9, 1914 in Morgan County. Audrey wed the late Robert J. Otey, Jr. in 1936.
Survivors include granddaughters Arminda R. Otey and Jennifer Otey of Loveland, Ohio and Angela Patt of Florida; great-grandchildren Richard and Sandra Bradley, Ryan Patt and Shelby and Melissa Heishman; sisters Martha Jane Neely of California and Achsah Gill of Montezuma, Indiana; local nieces and nephews Marilyn McClain, Kip Schnaiter; Carolyn Hovious, Rosalind Greiner; Sue Ann Davis, Mary J. Glasscock, Chet and Bart Wampler and Joan Price.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert J. Otey, III; two sisters, Florence Louise Hodges and Ruth Schnaiter and two brothers, Henry and James Hodges.
Audrey spent most of her life as a homemaker. She also worked as a secretary and was a Comptometer Specialist. Audrey was a member of the First Christian Church and Ken Mar Fellowship both in Martinsville. She enjoyed friends, dancing, family, reading and volunteering at the Morgan Hospital & Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM - 12:00 Noon on Friday, June 1st with a graveside service at 12:30 PM at Friendship Park Cemetery in Paragon, IN. The Reverend Gary LaFary will officiate.
