Birth was probably in Smith Co., Tennessee or Wilson Co., Tennessee. Parents were Moses and Juliet Robinson Allen. Niece, Juliet Elizabeth Allen, was the first wife of Marion Dee Hunt, nephew of Lewis Wilford Hunt.

Daughter, Mary Hunt, was born May 31, 1852 and died Nov. 18, 1852. Place of burial unknown.

Daughter, Atlanta Hunt Allen, 1861-1909, was married to Evaline's nephew, Elliot Allen. Atlanta is buried in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Benton Co., Arkansas. Elliot, 1856-1910, is buried in the Bryan Cemetery, Wilson Co., Tennessee.
