BLACK ROCK — Billy F. Runyan, 75, of Black Rock died Monday, Aug. 29, 2011.

Born April 2, 1936, at Jesup, he was the son of Lester Runyan and Verna Huskey Runyan Ballard.

He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed camping, traveling and listening to music. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Runyan; three sons, William Runyan and Paul Runyan, both of Cave City, and Ronnie Smith of Atlanta; three daughters, Karen Roberson of Batesville, Debra Hardin of Rockwell, N.C., and Pam Spence of Imboden; two brothers, Larry Runyan of Trumann and James Ballard of Arizona; six sisters, JoAnn Diebold and Brinda Hollinseed, both of Phoenix, Linda Young of Choctaw, Okla., Patty O'Brien of Lafayette, Ga., and Paulette Piplin and Barbara Farmer, both of Marmaduke; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Ron Canard officiating. Burial will be in Ward Cemetery in Strawberry.

Pallbearers will be Robert Northcutt, Randal Northcutt, Junior Huskey, Jim Furnish, Rodell Bowers and Eugene Raney.

Honorary pallbearers are Ellis Runyan and Steve Huskey.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
