Rosencrants, James C. "Rosey" – of Grayling, formerly Clio, age 93, died Wednesday August 31, 2011 at his residence Grayling. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, September 2, 2011 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial will be at Thetford Twp Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 PM and Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
Rosey was born June 24, 1918 in Tuscola, MI to the late James and Ethel (Stone) Rosencrants.
He served the US Army in the WWII.
Rosey was a member of UAW Local 651 and retired from A.C. Spark Plug as a Tool and Die Grinder in 1974 with 34 years seniority.
He was a member of the VFW Post 1452 in Clio. Rosey enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, riding his bike and spending time with friends and family.
Surviving are: children, Larry Rosencrants of Pittsburg, PA, Linwood (Sharon) Rosencrants of Davison, Donna (Pat) Makidon of Clio; 10 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
