Mrs. Blanche Dix Rites Wednesday
Final rites for Mrs. Blanche M. Dix of Rochelle, who died in St. Vinson Hospital, Birmingham, Ala., were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday ay Rochelle First Baptist Church, Rev. John T. Faircloth officiated and interment was in Morningside Cemetery.
Nephews and grandson of Mrs. Dix aerved as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearerss were members of the board of deacons of the Rochelle First Baptist Church where she was a member, and Elton Robinson, Delma Mashburn, Delma Whittle, S.Y.A. Ball, Alton Owens, Hyatt Owens, Ellis McDonald, and Norton Futch.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Hugh Carter and Mrs. Robert Vick, both of Birmingham, Ala,; one son, Cheron Dix of Jesup, and five grandchildren.
M. G. Frazier and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements,
Note: On Page 227 (vol I.)., Passing of the Pines, It states the (Family) after her death donated her piano to the First Baptist Church in Rochelle. The Missionary circle was named after Blanche Dix.
