KATIE SELLARS MEMBER OF RIGGS FAMILY, PASSES
Another member of the Riggs famiy was called by death last week, Mrs. Katie Sellars of Oakland, passing away on Friday after an illness that confined her to bed for about two months.
The funeral services were held in Oakland Sunday afternoon from the funeral parlors of Grant Miller. The body was then brought to Lakeport for Interment at Hartley cemetery Monday afternoon, where short services were also held.
Mrs. Sellars was a native of CA, born in San Bernardino County August 30 1866. She was married to J. W. Sellars in November 1889, and resided in Lakeport for many years. Her husband passed away in 1913.
The past years Mrs. Sellars had made her home in Oakland where she resided with her son Wilbanks Sellars who survives her.
Other surviving members of the family are three sisters and a brother, the Misses Lucy and Cora Riggs of Oakland, Mrs. Myrtle Clark of Salt Lake City and Albert S. Riggs of Scotts Valley.
The relatives have the sympathy of the community in the passing of a loved one.
