Mrs. Lillian Claris Summers, 72, of Fairview, died unexpectedly at her home Thursday evening (Aug. 9, 2007).
She was born Dec. 4, 1934, daughter of the late Harry and Hazel Wilson Haught and stepfather Andy Semancik.
She is survived by her husband, Otis L. Summers; and three children, Susan Rush and husband Larry of McCurdysville, Bradley Summers of Fairview and Teresa Summers and Ed King of Fairview; and two grandchildren, Brandi Search of Rivesville and Daniel Summers of Lumberport. She also is survived by three sisters, Gerry Wolfe of Florida and Louise Shultz and Mickey Raines, both of Maryland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant son, Otis L. Summers; two sisters, Meragale Wright and Colleen Austin; and one half brother, Chester Wilson.
Mom and Grandmother enjoyed going to the flea market to visit her eldest daughter and her husband on Sunday morning and finished out her evenings playing bingo. It was not unusual to see a crowd of family and friends on the porch with her and her husband in the evenings.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Ave., Fairmont, from 2:30 to 9 p.m. Monday. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Jack Flint officiating. Interment will follow at the McCurdysville Cemetery.
