Bryan Abell was a veteran of the United States Army. He was one of five auto accident victims who died in a vehicle driven by his brother, Robert Abell. The accident in which 10 people died occurred near Dunkirk, Maryland and was considered one of the worst ever traffic accidents in the state. The other passengers of the Abell vehicle were Milton E. Stottlemyer, John P. Schweinhaut and Robert Lee Schweinhaut.
