Graduate of West Point Military Academy. Col Naleid served thirty years in the United States Air Force. As a fixed wing fighter pilot, he was one of sixteen pilots to complete the first transatlantic jet crossing from the US to Germany and back in 1948. Awards: Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star (all for combat missions during the Vietnam War)
