Nathan A. Buchanan Jr., 78, Treasure Lake, DuBois, died Tuesday at the DuBois Nursing Home.
He was born June 24, 1932, in Brasstown, N.C., a son of the late Nathan A. Buchanan Sr. and Lona Hughes Buchanan. He was married to Edith E. Ramsey Buchanan June 11, 1953. She survives.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War.
He retired as an inspector for the Ford Motor Company after 32 years of service.
Survivors include four sons: Steven J. (Kristina) Buchanan of DuBois, Eddie R. (Patricia) Buchanan of Louisville, Ky., Fred A. (Donna) Buchanan of Holland, Ohio, and Larry M. (Jerri) Buchanan of DuBois; two sisters, Christine Stutzman of Old Fort, N.C., and Lucille Grindstaft of San Antonio, Texas, 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, and infant daughter and an infant son.
