Mrs. Ada Mae Moran, 90, of Effingham, IL and formerly of Ste. Marie, IL passed away at 9:15 p.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.
Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at at the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, IL with Fr. Al Kemme celebrating mass. Burial in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Ste. Marie, IL.
Ada Mae was born on August 14, 1921 in Willow Hill, IL the daughter of Otto and Anna (Hornbaker) Jones. She married George William Moran on December 30, 1940 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, IL and he preceded her in death on February 12, 2004.
Ada Mae was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Ste. Marie; St. Mary's Altar Society and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ste. Marie Post #932 American Legion. She enjoyed gardening and reading.
Ada Mae is survived by her five children, John (Carolyn) Moran of Greenfield, IN; Ann Cravens of Effingham, Janice (Ron) Kinder of Effingham, Joe (Cindy) Moran of Lebanon, OH and Mary Jo Dorn of Effingham; grandchildren, Brian (Michelle) Ping; Cheryl (Brad) Reynolds; Ryan Kinder; Michelle (Doug) Hogue; Amanda Moran and Brad Moran; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Hickey of Wilkinson, IN and Vera Huddleston of Yale; brothers, Wendell Jones of Eugene, OR and Donald (Peggy) Jones of San Diego, CA.
Ada Mae was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Bob Jones and a sister Rachel Ann Jones.
