A. June Warren, 76, of Washington passed away at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

June was born on Oct. 11, 1934, in Indianapolis to John and Violet Chapman Basham. She married Walter M. Warren in Lincoln, Neb., on Jan. 23, 1961. Walter died on Feb. 2, 2004, in Texas.

Among those surviving are three daughters, Cynthia (Norman) Lewis of Sinclair, Wyo., Gaylene Sue (Terry) Frye of Burnt Prairie, Ill., and Lisa Warren of Washington; two sons, James Karmizin of Santa Fe, N.M., and Walter (Cynthia) Warren of Horn Lake, Miss.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

June was also preceded in death by one daughter, Chris Warren Garcia, and two sisters.

June had been an RSVP volunteer in Peoria for many years and also was a member of the Church of Christ in East Peoria.

She will always be remembered as a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Cremation rites will be accorded and burial of ashes will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
