Edward Eugene "Gene" Boyer was born July 2, 1946, at Elk City to Robert E. "Bob" Boyer and Odessa Benn and passed away August 25, 2011, at the age of 65. Gene attended Elk City Schools and in his younger days was a jockey.he served in Vietnam War.He had two sons Kelly Eugene and Robert Lewis Boyer. He lived most all of his life in western Oklahoma except for a while in Cheyenne,Davis and Sulphur OK.he worked around horse all his life ,broke them and did Jockeying .Married to Janice Hudson, then was married to Tracy Warner on June 10, 1979. He was a forklift operator for Hodges Trucking.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents and 1 son Kelley Boyer.
Survivors include his wife Tracy Boyer of the Elk City home, son Robert Lewis Boyer of Elk City, granddaughter Erin Boyer of Leedey OK, and brother Bobby Boyer of Carter OK.
