Edward J. Abrams, age 83, of Toledo, passed away on April 20, 2007. He was born on June 15, 1923, to Joseph and Helen (Dymek) Abramowicz in Detroit, MI. Ed served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked as a machinist for Dana Corp for 44 years, retiring in 1985. Ed enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. Edward will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Helen (Lukasik); sons, Thomas (Karen) and William; grandchildren, Stacey (Chris) Grubbs, Sean Abrams, Jeffrey and Holly Abrams; great grandchildren, Caitlyn and Caleb; brother, Richard (Tina) Abramowicz; step-sisters, Dolores Perz and Patricia Radzimoski; and step-brother, Gerald Adamski. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond Abramowicz. Family and friends may visit at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church (family and friends please meet directly at church). Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, with Military Honors by the Lucas County Veterans Burial Corp. The family suggests memorial contribution to a charity of the donor's choice.
