Asalee C. Reach
BIG STONE GAP -- Asalee Cole Reach died on Dec. 4, 2001, at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, Tenn., at age 90.
She was born in Andover, Va., the daughter of the late Florida Baker Cole and Samuel Preston Cole. She spent most of her life in Big Stone Gap. She was a member of the Assembly of God in Big Stone Gap.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Reach.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy Reach Castle and Charles E. Castle Jr. of Bristol, Tenn.; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Herbert W. Reach and Nancy Hewitt Reach of Bristol, Tenn., and William P. Reach and Lila Garrison Reach of Homosassa, Fla.; one grandson, David Reach of Blountville; six granddaughters, Karen Castle Flagle of Bristol, Tenn., Lorrie Castle McDonald of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Cindy Castle of Bristol, Tenn., Jenny Reach Wilson of Bristol, Tenn., Beverly Reach Perry of Huntsville, Ala., and Julie Reach Woods of Richmond, Va.; one sister, Roberta Cole Messer of Big Stone Gap; seven great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Holding Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap on Thursday, Dec. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be conducted at the American Legion Cemetery on Friday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Rick Whitten officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.
Holding Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
