WM. B. GARRISON DIES IN HOSPITAL
William Bascom Garrison, 62, of 1938 Bellefonte Drive, Lexington, Kentucky, an employee of the Fayette County Board of Education, died at 7 a.m. Thursday, October 3, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
He was a native of Big Stone Gap, Va., and a son of Mary Ann Stout Garrison and the late Conley Trigg Garrison. He had been a resident of Lexington for the past two and a half years and was a member of the Christian Church.
Survivors, besides his mother, include his wife, Mrs. Vergie Moore Garrison; a daughter, Mrs. William P. Reach, Charleston, S.C.; two sons, Donald L. and Charles B. Garrison, both of Lexington; a sister, Mrs. William Messer Big Stone Gap, [sic] and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 6, at the Holding Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. W. B. Galloway and the Rev. Edward Greer officiating. Burial followed in the Glencoe Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ray Sturgill, Dewey Miller, Earl Sutton, Earl Kilbourne, Robert Daugherty and Claude Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Joe White, Kenneth Robertson, W. C. Crace, Eugene Kiser, William Azevado, Robert Osborne and J. V. Ewan, all of Lexington, Ky.
