Billy was known and loved by many for his sense of life and his humour. As long as I can remember, Billy and Anna had a second home in Glen Rose, Texas, called The Paluxy Palace. It was situated on the Paluxy River and was large enough for hosting reunions of the large family of Hatton and Edna Moore, a fishing family. It had plenty of room for campers, as well as a large, open-air shelter for hanging out with the family and eating meals. Billy had an old beat up Volkswagen Beetle, the top of which he had removed. It wasn't street legal, but it was good for taking all his grandkids and grandnieces and nephews for tours of a path through the property, where the occasional funny sign would appear. The bug had a homemade license plate reading IITYWYGMAB. We called it the Ittywigmab, and the answer to the question "What does Ittywigmab mean?" was "If I Tell You, Will You Get Me A Beer?"
I don't recall ever seeing Uncle Billy without his cowboy hat and a smile on his face.
