MELVIN B. "GUY" FANNIN, 97, of Huntington passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova. He was born December 14, 1917, in Hazard County, Kentucky, a son of the late R.A. and Hattie Craft Fannin. Guy was the owner and operator of Fannin's Junk Yard. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lee Adkins Fannin; three sons, Dick Fannin, Jerry Fannin and Ronnie Fannin; five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Hitchcock; a son, Troy Johnson; grandchildren, Stephanie, Scott, Michael, Roger, Ronnie, Chuck, Leslie and Kelly; and 10 great-grandchildren.
