Native of Rutherford County, NC and son of the late Robert and Lillie Arrowood Hill. Husband of Gertie Fincannon Hill and a member of the Caroleen Baptist Church and a textile employee. Survivors included: sons, Floyd and Howard Hill; daughters, Mrs. Joyce Shries, Mrs. Ruth Womick, and Mrs. Grace McDaniel; brothers, Rev. W. E. Hill, Roy and Earl Hill; sisters, Ms. Vinnie Marlowe, Mrs. Lonie Sue Robbins and Mrs. Lula Hendrick; 10 grandchildren. He was 63 years of age at demise and interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
