Mother of Arthur A. Crafts.

Sister of Paul Andrew Malum.

Daughter of Lottie L. Burbank and Andrew Amund Malum. Step-daughter of Minnie Eggelston.

Granddaughter of Eliza Marshall and Tracy W. Burbank; and Cari Olstadt and Amund Malun. Step-granddaughter of Flora Amanda Collins and Elisha Montgomery Eggelston.

Her parents (Lottie and Andrew) were married 26 September 1883 in Chicago, Illinois. Her mother, Lottie L. Burbank, died 30 or 31 December 1890 in Chicago. Her father married Minnie Eggelston about 1897.

Her father and paternal grandparents were natives of Gulbransdahler, Norway.

Her younger brother Paul was born to Andrew and Minnie on 9 August 1905 in Chicago, Illinois.

She was the niece of Lucy A. Burbank Mallory, Lillie Burbank Goss, Annie M. Burbank, and Jessie B. Burbank Kimmey.


In her lifetime, she enjoyed traveling and was able to visit locations such as the Panama Canal Zone, England, New York City, New Orleans, and the Hawaiian Islands, plus many other United States locations.


Effie Malum Crafts is survived by her son, Arthur A. Crafts, of Akron, Ohio.


Interment in Mount Peace Cemetery, Akron, Ohio.
