Robert "Bob" Edward Abbie was born in Corsicana, on Nov. 18, 1959, and was taken home to his Lord's house on Sept. 10, 2002.

Bob was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to all. He attended school in Plano and has been employed with TXU (Oncor) for 23 years. He loved the outdoors, motorcycles and kids, especially his daughters, nieces and nephews. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make everyone laugh. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Shirlene Abbie; daughters, Jade and Breck Abbie; parents, Robert and Sam Abbie; Mary and Dalton Gressett; sisters and brother-in-laws, Carla and John Shaw, Heidi and Bill Bow; grandmother, Phil Smith; mother-in-law, Juanita Hicks; sister-in-laws, Margaret Durr and Daniel and Jennifer Bates; 6 nieces, 4 nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his Mamaw, Marjorie Abbie; Papaw, Ted Abbie and grandfather, John Smith.

Mark 10:14: Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, at the Plano Bible Church with Pastor Jim Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at the Plano Mutual Cemetery.
