He was born in Brooklyn, son of the late Scipione and Vita Pistioa Buono, and had lived here 50 years. Mr. Buono was a World War II Army veteran and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, West End.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jennie Tarricone Buono; a son, Michael J. Buono, Jr., and two daughters, Misses Linda and Barbara Buono, all at home; two brothers, Joseph and John Buono, and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Rota and Miss Anne Buono, all of this city.
The funeral will be Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Damiano Funeral Home, followed by a requiem mass at 9:30 o'clock in St. Michael's Church. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
