Vera passed away at her home on December 19, 2000, she was 83 years young. She will always be remembered for the great love and help she gave so freely to her family and friends. She was born in Gore, Ok. on June 16, 1917. She retired from Roma Winery in 1979 after 37 years.

She is survived by her son, J.C. Jackson and wife, Shirley; her daughter, Lucille, and her son-in-law, Lee Pesola. Vera's love for her grandchildren will never be forgotten, Valeie, Linda, Lorin and Tim, Larry and Sherry Even, Marty, Tammy, Kirk and Louise. Vera's enduring youth came from her love and joy of her great-grandchildren, Cara, Christa, Leah, Lynsey, LJ, Scotty, Tyler, Megan, Jared, Jaycee, Kirkie, Joshua, aned Elyse, and her great-granddog, Kissha.

She is lovingly survived by her loving brothers and sisters, Elsie and Chuck of Antioch, Laymon and Virginia, Garner and Lena, Mary and Elma, Millie & Bob Anderson all of the Gore, Ok.; her beloved granddaughter, Robin Smith, and neighbors, Addie, Millie and Debbie, all so caring of her.

A memorial service was held at Northside Christian Church, 2709 E. Nees, Clovis Ca 93611, at Willow and Nees on Saturday, December 30, 2000, at 11:00 a.m.

I learned recently that Vera's ashes were buried near her mother's grave and her (Vera's) headstone.
