Funeral service for Marjorie Truitt, of Route 2, Tuttle, was held Friday in the Sowers Memorial chapel of the Sevier's Tuttle funeral home, with Rev Bob Case officiating.
Mrs Truitt was born 1/24/1911 in Goldstone, North Carolina, and passed away early Tuesday afternoon in South Community hospital, Oklahoma City, following a long illness. She was a former employee-engineer for the Sylvania Corporation at Shawnee, OK. She had lived in the Tuttle area since 1972 and was a member of the Disciple Christian church of Newcastle.
She is survived by her husband, Horace, 2 daughters, Myra Traxler of Tuttle, & Nida Cury of Houston, TX, 1 son, Bob Harryman of Oklahoma City, 2 brothers, Billy Barber & Herbert Barber, both of Durman, N.C., 3 sisters, Mira Morgan of Durman, Mrs Don Stocking and Mrs Walter R. Walsh of Arlinton, VA, and 7 grandchldren. Interment was in the Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier's Tuttle funeral home.
