Mrs. Alice Smith Stone, long time resident of Danoff died Monday, September 27, 1954, following a long illness. Mrs. Stone, aged 66, was born in Chillicothe, MO, and lived at
Walsenburg, CO before making her home in Danoff for the past 20 years. Mrs. Stone was active in the Christian Church, and the Rebecca Lodge. She is survived by two brothers, Frank and Shelton Smith, both of Danoff, and one sister, Mrs. Olla Mae Thomas of Cokedale, CO. Also surviving are are two nieces, Virginia Lee Jones of California, and Ruth Marie Rydberg of Colorado and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Ritchey funeral Home and burial will be at the family plot at Hillcrest Cemetary.
