Funeral services are being arranged at San Antonio for Everett Lloyd, 62, originator of the publications, The Vagabond and Lloyds of America. He died Wednesday night at the home of his sister, Mrs. M.G. Young, 819 North Winnetka, following several months' illness.

Born and reared in Italy, Ellis County, Mr. Lloyd attended Georgetown College, Georgetown, Ky.; Tulane University, New Orleans, La., and the University of Texas, studying law. He served on the staffs of the Galveston News, The Dallas News, Kansas City Post, Chicago Record-Herald, the Chicago Journal, and was staff writer for the National Magazine of Boston, Mass. Law West of the Pecos, the Story of Roy Bean, written by Lloyd, was published in 1931, but his Texas Immortals was incomplete at the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife, one sister, Mrs. M.G. Young; a son, Jack Lloyd of Dallas, and several nieces and nephews. Dallas Morning News, October 1, 1943
