Wiley & Sarah Porter Adams were the parents of James A Adams. He lived in Texas from 9th March 1898 until his death. After enlisting 1 March 1861 in the CSA, he then transferred to Sharp Shooters 22 June 1862. His surrender was at Jonesboro, North Carolina at the close of the war. Marriage was to Amelia Melissa Braden 23rd July 1865 in Marshall Co, Ms.(47788578)
