Walter J. Reis Jr., 53, of Arvada, CO, died unexpectedly in a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born on November 19, 1957 and was a graduate from Marlborough (MA) High School, Class of 1975, and served in the United States Air Force from 1975-1980, stationed in Germany. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts/Boston, School of Nursing in 1986 and worked for six years at Zablocki Veteran's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. Walter currently worked as a registered nurse at the Denver VA Medical Center. He was a very compassionate nurse that showed his dedication for American Veterans and was well liked by those he worked with. He was a dedicated family man that had a love of life and brought smiles and laughter to everyone. He loved riding his motorcylcle and also was a master wood craftsman, a proud Colorado Rockies fan, a ruthless opponent in any board game and an enthusiastic bowler. He always made time to stop by "Olde Towne" in Arvada, a neighborhood that he treasured.

He is preceded in death by his father, Walter J. Reis, Sr. He is survived by his daughter Ariane and her husband, Mark Corcoran, wife Regina, his mother Mary L. Reis, of Hollywood, FL, brother, Michael Reis, and his wife, Kristy Kowalczyk, of Louisville, CO; his sister, Ann Marie Potter of West Simsbury, CT; and his sister, Yvonne Reis and her partner Bonnie Canino of Dania Beach, FL. Uncle "Waltah" as they called him adored his nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 8th at 11:00 AM, at the VA Medical Center Auditorium, 1055 Clermont Street. Denver. Followed by burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Area B, at 2:30 PM.
