Lawyer and politician. Son of Samuel R. Lusk and Clara M. Root. He was an 1895 graduate of Cortland Normal School. He taught school and served as principal in Chenango Forks district. A Cornell Law School graduate, he was admitted to the bar in 1902. He began practice with Rowland L. Davis in Cortland. He married Anna Mix June 23, 1904 at Chenango Forks. He served as Cortland City Judge for two terms, following in the footsteps of Judge Davis. Elected to the State Senate in 1918, serving as both majority and minority leader through 1924. He served as Acting Lieutenant Governor of New York in 1922.
