Funeral services were held last Saturday for Mrs. Beulah Mae Abbott, 81 years old, who died at her home here Thursday, July 20. Mrs. Abbott had been a resident of this area for many years and was a member of the First Baptist church of Checotah.
Rev. George McDow, pastor of the Baptist church officiated in rites at the church. Burial was in Greenlawn cemetery under direction of the Smith Funeral home.
Pallbearers were limited to the grandsons of Mrs. Abbott.
She is survived by six sons, Cecil of Lamont, Calif., Whit of Muskogee, Clint of Goodwell, Clifton of Checotah; and J.W. and Roy of Louisville, Ky; two brothers, Will and Jack Clark of Castle; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Milburn of Denison, and Mrs. Zella Keyes of Fountain, Colo. and by 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
