William Daniel Rose, 79, of Checotah died early Monday morning at his home on the east side of the city following a heart attack. He had been a resident of this city for the past 50 years and was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors are three sons, Jim of Eloy, Ariz., Robert of Santa Maria, Calif., and Bert of Checotah; two daughters, Mrs. Georgia King of San Pedro, Calif. and Mrs. Strawberry Jines of Muskogee; four sisters, Mrs. Mattie Phoenix of Huntington Beach, Calif., Mrs. Ira Avants of Pawnee and Mrs. May Carter of Chichowilla, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist church at 2:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon with Rev. E.A. Spiller officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn cemetery under direction of the Lescher Funeral home.
