Marvin R. Miller, Sr., 70, of Goshen, died unexpectedly late Wednesday night, September 7, 2011, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born August 6, 1941 in Haven, Kansas, to the late Same and Clara (Yoder) Miller. He married Janet Miller in Fort Wayne on August 12, 1972. She survives.
Also surviving is a son, Marvin R. (Janet) Miller, Jr. of Bristol; a daughter, Angie (Chad) Konzen of Macomb, Michigan; six grandchildren, Luke Miller, Toni Miller, Sam Miller, Zane Miller, Lola Konzen and Iris Konzen; three great-grandchildren, Kylie, Allyson and Bryce Miller; and a sister, Katie (Owen) Troyer of Goshen.
A longtime area resident, Mr. Miller worked at Damon Corporation, Elkhart, where he was director of M.I.S. until his retirement in 2007. He had worked part time for Eby Ford, Goshen.
A graduate of Middlebury High School, he was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
Friends may call 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, September 11, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
A 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2011, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Larry Kurtz of Faith United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial, with military honors by the Goshen Veterans' Organizations, will follow in West Goshen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church or Muscular Dystrophy Association.
