Bonnie was born to Joseph Duthie Sr. and Vida Duthie in 1927 in Mexico. She had two brothers, Joseph Duthie Jr. and Gilbert Duthie. She married Thomas McFarland in 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah and they had four children, Thomas Jr., Darla, Kathleen and Michelle. She was a caring and loving mother who always would sacrifice for her family. She died in 1981 at the age of 54 from melanoma. Her memory lives on these many years later.
