67, of Elyria, died at home
Thursday night after a long illness.
Born in Cleveland, she lived in
Rocky River and was a 1944
graduate of Rocky River High
School. She attended the Tommy
Bright School of Floral Design in
Chicago.
She and her father operated
Schenk's Flower Shop in
Rocky River.
An Elyria resident since 1958,
she was a member of First
Church of Christ Scientist of
Lorain, the Three Arts Club of
Lakewood, the West Shore
Orchid Society, and was a member
and past president of the
Elyria Ki-Queens.
Active in Girl Scouts for manv
years, she operated Hilltop Day
Camp in Elyria.
Mrs. Miles is survived by her
husband of 43 years, Richard K.;
son, Richard K.of Lagrange;
daughters, Mary C. Miles and
Betsy A. Miles, both of Elyria;
and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her parents add a brother,
Lester Schenk.
A Christian Science memorial
service will be held at 4 p.m.
Monday in the Dicken Funeral
Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria.
There also will be a memorial
service Monday at 7:30 p.m. in
the funeral home with Rev. Dennis
F. Fredrickson officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood
Park Cemetery, Rocky River.
Memorial Contributions may
be made to the charity of the
donor's choice.
