Laura Adeline "Lady" Fritz Hancock, 94 of Wichita Falls, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Hospice of Wichita Falls. She was born on August 24, 1917 in Wichita Falls to the late Lester W. Fritz and Adeline C. Dye Fritz. She was married to J. O. Hancock who preceded her in death in 1974. Mrs. Hancock was the President of A.C.F. Oil Company and was a charter member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She graduated high school in Wichita Falls and was a graduate of Lindenwood College. She later did her graduate studies at the University of Texas. She helped start the 1938 Century Club and Colony Club and was a Day Nursing Board Member. Mrs. Hancock helped with the starting of the Museum Guild and helped with the River Bend Nature Books. She also helped with the Wheat Harvest Festival and Horse Show and showed horses and was involved in riding clubs for several years.

She is survived by one son, Frank W. Hancock of Wichita Falls and two grandchildren, David and Lauren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Lester Fritz, Jr.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
