She will be greatly missed by her daughter Jan Cope of Indiantown, Florida, and her two sons Donald (Hannelore) of Manitowoc and Glenn (Janet) of New London; her brother Gerald (Arla) of Daytona, Florida; her seven grandchildren Chere, Mike, Cindy, Kurt, Greg, Guy and Gretchen; her 11 great grandchildren; and other family and friends.
Hilde was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer; her 2-month-old daughter Joann, her brother and sister-in-law Almond and Viola Krueger and her son-in-law Irving Cope.
Hilde was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, music, and soaking up the sun's rays because she loved being outdoors. She was a kind and generous mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. All those who knew Hilde were touched by her love for life, her wonderful sense of humor, and her positive outlook. She was a very special person.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of Rennes Health Center for the compassionate and tender care she received. She considered you all good friends and she enjoyed all her time with you.
Friends will be received at Wichmann Funeral Home, Superior St., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday April 3rd. On April 4th there will be a showing at 10:00 a.m. and at 11:00 a.m. there will be a funeral service, followed by a lunch at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 601 E. Glendale Ave, Appleton, with Pastor Paul Brinkman officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 at the Star of Hope Mausoleum, Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Hilde's honor with the beneficiary being Faith Lutheran Church.
