Mrs. Clara M. Allen, 60, died at her home, 22 Cook Avenue, Meriden, Conn, on Thursday, March 22. Mrs. Allen was born at Shekomeko, the youngest daughter of Calvin C. and Anna M. Hammond Bryan. Her first husband, Charles VanBenschoten, died in 1909. Five years later she married Herman Allen of new Haven, Conn., where they resided until three years ago when they moved to Meriden, where Mr. Allen is manager of a paper company. The funeral services were held... in New Haven on Saturday afternoon. Burial was in the Allen plot in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. Surviving are her husband, Herman Allen, and two brothers, Elihu C. Bryan of Shekomeko and Harry H. Bryan of Pine Plains.
