Elizabeth Julia Kellogg Tarnow, 94, of Skaneateles, passed away Sunday peacefully at home with family by her side. Born in Mottville, she was a Skaneateles graduate, 1932. She married Harold L. Tarnow on May 10, 1941. She worked for Waterbury Felt Company and Waite's Department Store in accounting and Checco Estate Sales. She ran the GE Guest House and Sandy Beach concessions at various points in her career. She was a lifelong active parishioner of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church. Elizabeth was also active with the Historical Society, Stella Maris Retreat Center, and the Democratic Party. She loved to read, knit, play bridge, travel, and refinished furniture.

Predeceased by her husband, Harold; parents, Elvan and Agnes Smith Kellogg; sister, Mary Austin; brothers, Jack and Billy; and two infant siblings.

She is survived by her children, H. Michael (Pat), Peter (Kathie), and Mary Beth Day (Rick); grandchildren, Michele (Wojtek), Pete (Beth), Brian, Nicki, Elizabeth Shedwick (Brad), and Katie Greco; great-grandchildren, Luke, Frankie, Hayden, Ben, and Owen. As well as nieces, Betty Gray (Larry), Mickey O'Neil, Helen Swanberry, Joan Chapman, Patricia Raineri (Joseph); and nephew, John Kellogg.

Friends will be received Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, 49 Jordan Street. Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, 81 Jordan Street. Following the service the family invites everyone for lunch and fellowship at the church.

Education and travel were her passions, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to P.E.O. International, Local Chapter AD. P.E.O. is a philanthropic educational organization that seeks to educate women and inspire them to reach their potential through scholarships and grants.
