Phoebe, the 6-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Brooks of Wood's Landing, mention of whose serious illness was made in The Republican of Friday, died at 2 o'clock this morning, of peritonitis, following an attack of pneumonia, and arrangements are now being made for the funeral. Mrs. H.D. Cummings, a sister of Mrs. Brooks, left for the ranch this morning, accompanied by Dr. Hamilton, and will assist her sister in arranging the funeral. Dr. Hamilton was called again to the bedside of an older sister, who is also ill with pneumonia.
