Pearl B. Ackman, age 86 of Lawrenceville, IL died at 4:45 pm Friday evening, February 26, 2010 at the United Methodist Vilage North Campus in Lawrenceville.

Pearl was born February 15, 1924 in Owen County, Indiana to Arthur and Ella Smith Hatfield. She was married to Carl Ackman and he preceded her in death.

Pearl is survived by her four children, Gerald Shoulders of Cresson, TX, Harold Shoulders of Lake St. Louis, MO, Stanley Shoulders of Duncanville, IL and a daughter Sue Lyle of Lawrenceville, IL. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and three sisters.

Pearl worked for many years as a cook. She cooked at the United Methodist Village and various restaurants in Lawrenceville, IL. She was a member of the VFW, Eagles, and Nazarene Church.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 1:45 p.m. at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Lawrenceville Senior Citizens with envelopes available at the funeral home.
