SAVANNA — Funeral service for Cpl. David L. Turner, 18, of Savanna, a former Freeporter killed in Korea Oct. 23, was held at 1:30 p.m. today in the Law-Jones Funeral Home, here. Burial was in Savanna Township Cemetery.
Cpl. Turner died in a clash with North Korean Troops along the demilitarized zone. He attended Freeport High School until September 1967, when he entered the army.
